MemoryDebuggerAPI
cpp
#include <VAmiga.h>cpp
class MemoryDebuggerAPIDefined in VAmiga.h:877
API of the memory debugger (dumps and searches).
Public Methods
| Return | Name | Description |
|---|---|---|
MemSrc | getMemSrc const | Returns the memory source for a given address. |
const char * | regName const | Returns the name of the custom chip register an address selects. |
u8 | spypeek8 const | Reads a value from memory without causing side effects. |
u16 | spypeek16 const | Reads a 16 bit value from memory without causing side effects (see spypeek8()). |
string | ascDump const | Returns a string of characters for a portion of memory. |
string | hexDump const | Returns a string of numbers for a portion of memory. |
string | memDump const | Returns a memory dump that includes a text column (see hexDump()). |
getMemSrc
const
cpp
MemSrc getMemSrc(Accessor src, u32 addr) constDefined in VAmiga.h:891
Returns the memory source for a given address.
Exceptions
| Exception | Description |
|---|---|
CoreError | (CoreError::OPT_INV_ARG) if the accessor is invalid. |
regName
const
cpp
const char * regName(u32 addr) constDefined in VAmiga.h:898
Returns the name of the custom chip register an address selects.
The address is decoded whether or not it names a register, so this is only meaningful for an address getMemSrc() reports as CUSTOM.
spypeek8
const
cpp
u8 spypeek8(Accessor src, u32 addr) constDefined in VAmiga.h:903
Reads a value from memory without causing side effects.
Exceptions
| Exception | Description |
|---|---|
CoreError | (CoreError::OPT_INV_ARG) if the accessor is invalid. |
spypeek16
const
cpp
u16 spypeek16(Accessor src, u32 addr) constDefined in VAmiga.h:905
Reads a 16 bit value from memory without causing side effects (see spypeek8()).
ascDump
const
cpp
string ascDump(Accessor src, u32 addr, isize bytes) constDefined in VAmiga.h:914
Returns a string of characters for a portion of memory.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
src | Accessor | The accessor used to read the bytes. |
addr | u32 | First address to dump. |
bytes | isize | Number of bytes to dump. |
Exceptions
| Exception | Description |
|---|---|
CoreError | (CoreError::OPT_INV_ARG) if the accessor is invalid. |
hexDump
const
cpp
string hexDump(Accessor src, u32 addr, isize bytes, isize sz = 1) constDefined in VAmiga.h:928
Returns a string of numbers for a portion of memory.
hexDump() shows the bytes as hexadecimal numbers, memDump() as hexadecimal numbers followed by characters. Each group of 'sz' bytes forms one number and is followed by a space.
Parameters
| Parameter | Type | Description |
|---|---|---|
src | Accessor | The accessor used to read the bytes. |
addr | u32 | First address to dump. |
bytes | isize | Number of bytes to dump. |
sz | isize | Group size in bytes (1, 2, or 4). |
Exceptions
| Exception | Description |
|---|---|
CoreError | (CoreError::OPT_INV_ARG) if the accessor is invalid. |
memDump
const
cpp
string memDump(Accessor src, u32 addr, isize bytes, isize sz = 1) constDefined in VAmiga.h:930
Returns a memory dump that includes a text column (see hexDump()).
